BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. Azerbaijan's money supply in manat terms (M2) grew by 3.7 billion manat ($2.1 billion) or 11.79 percent as of August 1, 2024 compared to the same period last year (from 31.7 billion manat ($18.6 billion) to 35.4 billion manat ($20.8 billion)), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 1.1 billion manat ($646 million) (7.99 percent) over the year, from 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion) to 15.9 billion manat ($9.3 billion), and expanded money supply (M3) increased by 3.8 billion manat ($2.2 billion) (9.37 percent) to 44.9 billion manat ($26.4 billion) (against 41.07 billion manat a year earlier).
The money supply for transactions (M1) increased by 1.8 billion manat ($1.05 billion) (6.8 percent) from 26.8 billion manat ($15.7 billion) to 28.6 billion manat ($16.8 billion) over the year.
