BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. Azerbaijan's money supply in manat terms (M2) grew by 439.99 million manat ($258.8 million) or 1.29 percent as of December 1, 2024, compared to the same period last year (from 34.19 billion manat or $20.1 billion) to 34.6 billion manat ($20.3 billion).

The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that cash supply in circulation (M0) rose by 496.1 million manat, or $291.8 million (3.28 percent) over the year, from 15.1 billion manat ($8.88 billion) to 15.6 billion manat ($9.18 billion), and expanded money supply (M3) increased by 1.33 billion manat, or $780,000 (3.07 percent), to 44.69 billion manat, or $26.29 billion (against 43.3 billion manat or $25.47 billion a year earlier).

The money supply for transactions (M1) decreased by 968.9 million manat, or $569.9 million (3.38 percent), from 28.6 billion manat ($16.8 billion) to 27.7 billion manat ($16.29 billion) over the year.
