BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijani consumers spent 62.1 million manat ($36.5 million) on computers, telecommunication equipment, and printing products in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure represents an increase of 7.9 million manat ($4.6 million), or a 14.5 percent rise, compared to the same month in 2024.
The share of trade turnover in computers, telecommunication equipment, and printing products accounted for 1.3 percent of total retail sales.
To note, in January, a total of 4.8 billion manat ($2.8 billion) worth of goods were sold to consumers in the retail trade network in 2024, including 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion) worth of food, drinks, and tobacco products and 2.2 billion manat ($1.29 billion) worth of non-food products.
Compared to 2023, retail trade turnover increased by 3.7 percent in real terms, including 1.8 percent for food, drinks, and tobacco products and 6.1 percent for non-food products.
