BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 6. Kyrgyzstan imported 913,204 motorcycles worth $22.556 million from China from January through October 2024, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the volume increased by 11 times compared to the 79,047 motorcycles imported during the same period in 2023. The value of the imports rose by 5.4 times, up from $4.165 million in January-October 2023.
Kyrgyzstan imported a total of 916,575 motorcycles worth $26.725 million from January through October 2024. This volume grew by 11 times compared to the 80,768 motorcycles brought in during the same period in 2023. The value rose by 3.8 times, up from $6.857 million in January-October 2023.
The bulk of the imports came from China. Kazakhstan was the second-largest supplier, with 2,128 motorcycles valued at $946,926, while Uzbekistan ranked third, providing 462 motorcycles worth $51,826.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $13.4 billion in 10 months, which is 6.4 percent more than in the same period of 2023.
The country's total exports grew by 25.2 percent year-on-year to $3.1 billion, while imports increased by 1.8 percent to $10.3 billion.
