BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 17. The city administration of Kyrgyzstan's Osh and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) have signed an agreement for the supply of electric buses and building new trolleybus lines in the city, Trend reports, citing the Osh City Mayor’s Office.
The agreement came after a meeting in Bishkek between Osh Mayor Zhenishbek Toktorbaev and EDB representatives.
In addition to the electric bus project, proposals for further urban infrastructure development were reviewed, including the construction of overpass bridges, new bypass roads, repairs to boilers at the local heating plant, and the implementation of the Green City initiative.
The EDB is a multilateral development institution active across the Eurasian region. By 2025, the EDB’s accumulated project portfolio includes 305 projects with a total investment volume of $16.5 billion. The majority of these projects focus on integration-driven sectors such as transport infrastructure, digital systems, green energy, agriculture, industry, and engineering.
