By Farida Nuri - Trend:
Telematic systems will be introduced in the agro-industry of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to CentralAsia.news.
Specialist teacher, senior lecturer of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov Agadzhan Atayev spoke about the joint work with the German CLAAS company on the introduction of modern digital developments, including artificial intelligence, the phased introduction of a telematic system based on tractors and combines of the CLAAS company into the agro-industrial sphere of Turkmenistan.
“Turkmenistan is gradually carrying out reforms in the agricultural system, improving agricultural production technologies. This includes the purchase of agricultural machinery from various foreign partners,” Atayev said.
“CLAAS, one of the leaders in the implementation of innovative technologies, cooperates with the Ashgabat State Agricultural University. The agricultural machinery purchased from CLAAS in recent years (combines, tractors, additional units) is equipped with various IT devices and information applications,” he added.
“CLAAS training and service center experts conduct training with teachers and students on the active management of precision agriculture with widely used navigation systems such as Global Positioning System (GPS), geographic information systems (GIS), Earth remote sensing, and Variable Rate Technology and Yield Monitor Technologies,” the university lecturer noted.
Appropriate winter wheat planting practices and technical tests are already underway on the company's machinery, such as the CLAAS Axos 340 HC tractor and Gaspardo planters equipped with CLAAS TELEMATICS components, said the Turkmen expert.
“The university lecturer also spoke about the TELEMATICS electronic platform, with which the new CLAAS technology is combined. Using this platform will simplify statistical and analytical work. Technical, operational and agronomic information coming from a machine equipped with various sensors will be immediately received and recorded in an electronic journal,” Atayev stressed.
In addition, artificial intelligence will be used for general analysis of the agricultural sector's activities with volumetric data, he added.
