BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 24. Total revenue of Iran's Bushehr Petrochemical Company increased by 41 percent during nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports via Iran's Bushehr Petrochemical Company.
Bushehr Petrochemical Company's total revenue for the nine months totaled about 529 trillion rials (about $917 million). The company's total revenue for the same period last year amounted to 370 trillion rials (about $641 million).
The company's net profit rose to 120 trillion rials (about $208 million) during the mentioned period. During the same period last year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), the company's net profit amounted to 102 trillion rials (about $177 million).
Meanwhile, the company's production rose 13 percent year-on-year to 1.55 million tons during the nine months. Also, the company's product sales increased by 19 percent year-on-year to 1.6 million tons.
Iran's Bushehr Petrochemical Company was established in 2010. The area of this company is 70 ha. The company can produce more than 6.6 million tons of various types of products per year.
As many as 72 petrochemical companies are currently operating in Iran. The potential of petrochemical production is 96 million tons per year.
Iran plans to increase the production potential of its petrochemical products to 200 million tons within eight years. It is planned to spend $64 billion in this direction.
