BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 21. Iran’s non-oil exports to Azerbaijan in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through April 20, 2025) declined by 6.3 percent in value and 19.6 percent in volume compared to the same period of the previous year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from the Customs Administration indicates that the country exported non-oil goods worth $32.6 million and weighing approximately 50,900 tons to Azerbaijan during the reporting period.
The data indicates that Iran’s non-oil exports to Azerbaijan totaled $34.8 million and 63,400 tons by volume in the same month of 2024.
The figures show that Iran primarily exported agricultural and food products, industrial goods, as well as petrochemical and chemical products to Azerbaijan.
Moreover, Iran’s total trade turnover with Azerbaijan reached around 51,000 tons, valued at $32.7 million, in the first month of the current Iranian year. This marks a decline of 6.16 percent in value and 19.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
The Iranian Customs Administration data indicates that Iran exported 8.95 million tons of non-oil products worth $2.94 billion during the same period. This represents a year-on-year decrease of 8 percent in value and 8.3 percent in volume.
