The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) decreased by 3543.27 points (-2.53 percent) to end the trades at 136,765.9 on Aug. 28.
According to the TSE official website, about 2,232 million shares valued at $153 million were traded for the day.
The trading value registered a fall by 15 percent, while the volume decreased by 9.5 percent compared to the preceding day.
The Price Index (TEPIX) decreased by 1,036.35 points (-2.53 percent) to post 40,004.3.
The First Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (FM) decreased by 2,932.13 points (-2.82 percent) to 101,080.9.
The Second Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (SM) decreased by 5,510.46 points (-1.99 percent) to post 270,830.5.
The Industry Index decreased by 3,498.43 points (-2.71 percent) to post 125,460.6.
TSE 30 Index lost 259.01 points (-3.71 percent) to close at 6,723.8.
TSE 50 Index lost 190.61 points (-3.10 percent) to end at 5,952.8.
Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, Isfahan Oil Refining Company, Tehran Oil Refining Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.
Meanwhile, MAPNA Group, Saipa, Tidewater Middle East Co., Iran Alloy Steel Company and Pakshoo Industrial Group were among those that had the highest positive effect on the TSE index.
