BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company increased its crude oil production by 11 percent during 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) compared to the same period last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), the company's CEO Hassan Shahrooei told reporters, Trend reports.
He emphasized that in the 11 months, the company’s daily crude oil production reached one million barrels.
Shahrooei added that, in the second half of the current Iranian year (from September 22, 2024, through March 20, 2025), the company’s crude oil production saw an additional 60,000 barrels per day.
“This increase was achieved through the launch of the second desalination processing plant in Ahvaz, several operations at the Mansouri processing center, elimination of existing defects in six production wells, major repairs of 32 wellheads, installation of pumps in 16 wells, connecting the Ab Teymour oil field to the network with a 12-inch pipeline for crude oil transport, and other related activities,” he pointed out.
The official also added that, through the implementation of several operations, the company’s gas production increased by 12 percent, while gas condensate production rose by 35 percent.
Meanwhile, the Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, operating as part of Iran's South Oil Zones National Company, has the potential to produce more than one million barrels of oil per day. The main oil fields of this company are Ahvaz, Mansouri, Ab Teymour, and Ramin. This company's gas production potential is 600 million cubic feet per day (about 17 million cubic meters).
