BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 26. President Ilham Aliyev shared a post on his social media accounts congratulating "Sabah" football club on qualifying for the UEFA Champions League league phase.
The post reads:
"I heartily congratulate 'Sabah' football club on securing a magnificent victory and qualifying for the UEFA Champions League league phase.
It gives me particular joy and pride that a newly established team has achieved such a great accomplishment in such a short period of time. The fact that our clubs have earned the right to compete in the league phase of the world's strongest club tournament for the second consecutive year is another vivid indicator of Azerbaijan's progress in all fields and of the country's standing as a sporting nation.
I wish 'Sabah' new victories and success in the upcoming matches!"
