BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 18. The port of Bandirma, located in Balikesir (Türkiye), received 523 vessels, from January through June 2023, Trend reports via Türkiye’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, the port of Bandirma received 91 vessels under the Turkish flag and 432 vessels under the flags of other countries, during the specified period.
In general, the ports of Türkiye received 5,658 vessels in June of this year.
According to the available data, the number of ships taken to the ports of Türkiye under the flags of other countries amounted to 3,785, and the number of ships taken under the flag of Türkiye was 1,873 during this period.
The ports of Türkiye received 28,836 vessels in the first half of 2023.
Meanwhile, ships under the flags of other countries accepted by Turkish ports amounted to 20,097, and ships under the Turkish flag accounted for 8,739.
