BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 18. Azerbaijan's main gas pipelines transported a total of 3.56 bcm of gas in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that gas transport through the main pipelines decreased by eight percent compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, 46.4 percent of this gas was transmitted via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) pipeline, amounting to 1.65 bcm.
To note, Azerbaijan's total gas transportation via main pipelines reached 40.3 bcm in 2024, marking a 2.7 percent increase compared to the previous year. The BTE pipeline accounted for 56.6 percent of the total, with 22.8 bcm of gas transmitted.
