BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Azerbaijan's production of limestone for construction purposes stood at around 33,000 tons in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure dropped by nearly 39.6 percent, reaching a much lower figure 21,600 tons compared to 2024 (54,000 tons)
To note, the total cost of production in Azerbaijan's mining industry stood at 3.3 billion manat ($1.9 billion) in January 2025, decreasing by five percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
The output of marketable oil, which is the main product of the industry, was 2.3 million tons, and the output of marketable natural gas was 3.1 bcm.
Marketable oil production decreased by 6.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, and marketable gas production went down by 4.8 percent.
