BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 20. Azerbaijan produced construction materials worth 187.6 million manat ($110.3 million) from January through February of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee reveals this indicator's growth by 13.7 million manat ($8 million) or 7.9 percent compared to the same period last year (173.9 million manat or $102.2 million).
In the specified timeframe, there was a contraction in the
output of gypsum products by 11.9 percent, a decline in
construction glass production by 13 percent, and a significant
reduction in asphalt manufacturing by 27.5 percent.
It is noteworthy that in the preceding fiscal year, the aggregate
valuation of construction materials generated within the
jurisdiction of Azerbaijan reached 1.4 billion manat (equivalent to
$823.5 million), reflecting a substantial increase of 16.9 percent
relative to the prior annum.
