BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Azerbaijan produced 35,300 tons of cotton lint in the first quarter of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this marks an increase of 9,600 tons or 37.5 percent compared to the same period of 2024 (25,700 tons).
Meanwhile, the volume of finished cotton lint reserves in the country amounted to 41,500 tons as of April 1, 2025.
The textile, clothing, leather and leather goods, and footwear industries in Azerbaijan produced 143.8 million manat ($84.5 million) worth of products in the reporting period.
The production of leather, leather goods, and footwear increased by 23.7 percent and textiles by 15.6 percent, but the production of garments decreased by 45.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
