ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 1. Under the trading operations of KMG International, a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, crude oil resale volumes reached 13.7 million tons in 2024, Trend reports.
The volume of crude oil purchased for resale exceeded the 2023 level by 6.045 million tons. The main growth was driven by supplies from Tengizchevroil (+5.571 million tons) for Petraco Energies DMCC.
"Additionally, supplies from KEBCO from Kashagan (+1.102 million tons) for Rosneft (Germany), Azerbaijani oil from Tengizchevroil to third parties (+308,000 tons), and from Kashagan (+221,000 tons) have been increased," noted the latest report from KazMunayGas.
The volume of oil product production at Kazakhstan and Romanian refineries decreased by 1.5 percent to 17.89 million tons. Kazakhstan's refineries produced 13.085 million tons of oil products, which is 1.0 percent higher than the 2023 figures due to increased production unit efficiency.
