BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. Kazakhstan’s oil production is forecast to reach 2.15 million barrels per day (mb/d) in 2026, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), Trend reports.
The agency has slightly revised its outlook for 2026, increasing the projection by 0.02 mb/d compared to its previous estimate.
The IEA now expects output to hold steady at 2.16 mb/d in both the first and second quarters of 2026.
For 2025, the IEA projects Kazakhstan’s average crude production at 2.15 mb/d, a modest increase of 0.01 mb/d from last month’s forecast. Quarterly output is forecast at 2.13 mb/d in Q1, rising to 2.15 mb/d in Q2, then stabilizing at 2.17 mb/d for the third and fourth quarters.
In 2024, Kazakhstan’s average daily oil production was estimated at 1.88 mb/d.
Looking ahead, Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev recently announced a target to produce 96.2 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2025 at a government meeting.
