BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Azerbaijan exported cotton worth $166.3 million from January through August 2025, totaling 107,195 tons.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that cotton exports rose by $11.4 million, or 6.4 percent in value, while the volume slightly decreased by 2,900 tons, or 2.7 percent, compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, Azerbaijan imported cotton valued at $7.5 million during the first nine months, marking a 13 percent increase compared to last year. Non-oil product exports from Azerbaijan reached $2.6 billion in the same period, up $184.1 million, or 7.5 percent, year-on-year.
