BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Aramco reported continued safe and reliable operations in the third quarter of 2025, with total hydrocarbon production reaching 13.3 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (mmboed), Trend reports.
During the quarter, the company raised its sales gas production growth target from over 60% to about 80%, supporting expectations of more than one million barrels per day in additional high-value associated liquids. Aramco now anticipates total gas and associated liquids output of around six mmboed by 2030.
Key developments under its gas expansion strategy continued to advance. Construction of the Jafurah Gas Plant - part of the company’s flagship unconventional gas field - remains on schedule for completion in 2025, with a projected sustainable gas rate of 2.0 bscfd by 2030. The Tanajib Gas Plant, within the Marjan development program, is also on track to add 2.6 bscfd of raw gas processing capacity in 2025, while the Fadhili expansion is set to increase capacity by 1.5 bscfd by 2027.
In October, Aramco completed a lease-and-leaseback transaction involving the Jafurah Gas Plant and Riyas NGL Fractionation Plant with its subsidiary, Jafurah Midstream Gas Company. The deal, valued at 41.8 billion Saudi riyals ($11.1 billion), saw a 49% equity stake sold to a consortium led by Global Infrastructure Partners, part of BlackRock. Aramco retains full ownership and operational control of the facilities.
The company also made progress on major oil increment projects to maintain its maximum sustainable capacity at 12 million barrels per day. Construction at Marjan and Berri fields is expected to add 300,000 and 250,000 barrels per day of capacity, respectively, by 2025. Meanwhile, the Zuluf project remains on schedule for 2026, and the Dammam phase two development is set to contribute an additional 50,000 barrels per day by 2027.
Aramco said these developments reinforce its resilience and readiness to meet future energy demand while advancing its long-term gas strategy.
