BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Saudi Aramco increased its downstream capital expenditures in 2025 as progress continued on key expansion projects in refining and petrochemicals, Trend reports.
Capital expenditures reached SAR 11.7 billion ($3.1 billion) in the third quarter of 2025, up 23% year-on-year from SAR 9.5 billion ($2.5 billion) in 3Q2024. The rise was driven mainly by ongoing work on S-OIL’s refinery-integrated petrochemical steam cracker and the Amiral expansion at the SATORP refinery.
For the first nine months of 2025, downstream capital spending rose 29% to SAR 30.8 billion ($8.2 billion), compared to SAR 23.8 billion ($6.4 billion) in the same period a year earlier.
Aramco said the investments reinforce its commitment to expanding refining-to-chemicals integration and enhancing value across its downstream portfolio as part of its long-term growth strategy.
