ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 7. A total of 21.5 billion tenge (approximately $40.85 million) has been allocated from the Special State Fund for the construction of a water supply system in the Akmolinsk (Akmola) region of Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Currently, 28 water supply projects are being implemented in the region. In the Zerendinsky district, 6.564 billion tenge (about $12.47 million) is allocated for the laying of new pipelines and the modernization of existing water supply networks. Work is being carried out in the villages of Akadyr, Zhylymdy, Kanai Bi, Kokterek, Sadovoye, Troitsk, Vasilkovskoye, Orken, Ozen, and Baratay.
"In the largest of these—the village of Orken, which has a population of over 1,000—a 6 km water supply system is under construction. The cost of the project is 583 million tenge (approximately $1.11 million). Additionally, the construction of new water sources and the reconstruction of existing systems, totaling more than 2.287 billion tenge (about $4.35 million), is being carried out in 9 districts of the region. The commissioning of these facilities is planned by the end of this year," the statement reads.
In the Sandyktau district, the implementation of a collective
aqueduct infrastructure is currently in progress. The initiative
encompasses the deployment of 22.3 kilometers of hydraulic
distribution systems. A financial allocation of 200 million tenge
(approximately $380,000) has been earmarked from the Special State
Fund for the execution of this initiative.
Efforts are currently in progress to overhaul the Nuryinsky group
water conveyance system and to establish a new water distribution
pipeline extending from the village of Pokrovskoye to the adjacent
villages of Talapker and Kazhymukan. The aggregate expenditure for
the dual initiatives amounts to 9.5 billion tenge, which translates
to an approximate valuation of $18.05 million.
At present, the operational capacity of water supply infrastructure
in urban locales within the Akmolinsk region is at an impressive 99
percent efficiency, whereas the rural sectors exhibit a commendable
service provision rate of 96.6 percent.
Currently, within the national landscape, initiatives in the
domains of healthcare, athletics, and the revitalization of
engineering infrastructures and water management systems are being
executed through the utilization of reclaimed assets.
