A signing ceremony of a cooperation memorandum between PSA Peugeot Citroën, JSC AgromashHolding and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the capital of Kazakhstan on June 3, the press secretary of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Kaisar Zhumabaiuly told Trend by telephone.
"The first domestically assembled cars will arrive at the Peugeot dealer network in Kazakhstan this autumn," Zhumabaiuly said.
Production of Peugeot cars will be established in Kostanai at the industrial sites of JSC AgromashHolding.
As is shown in the statement posted on the website of the Kazakh PM, at the first stage, the model range will include the Peugeot 301, Peugeot 3008, Peugeot 508 and Peugeot Partner.
'The average output will reach four million vehicles a year. Later, sales may exceed 10 million vehicles per year', the Industry and New Technologies Ministry's statement that was posted on Monday said.
According to the information of the ministry, the production launch of Peugeot cars in Kazakhstan is scheduled for July 2013.
