Some 65,200 square meters of housing were commissioned in March 2016 compared to 151,660 square meters in March 2015, said the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of January-March 2016.
Over 334,700 square meters of housing have been commissioned since early 2016 or by 19.3 percent less than in the same period of 2015.

Some 68.7 percent of the total volume of construction work accounted for primary construction, reconstruction and expansion, 12.1 percent - overhaul, 2.5 percent - current repair and 16.7 percent - other construction work.
Some 88.4 percent of the total volume of construction work was carried out by non-state construction companies.
Around 88,100 people were involved in the Azerbaijani construction sector in January-February 2016.
The average monthly salary in state sector amounted to 515.6 manat (a 10.1 percent increase for the year), private companies - 927.1 manat (a 28.1 percent increase).
As of April 19, the official exchange rate is 1.5167 AZN/USD.
The level of wages in the construction of buildings increased by 8.8 percent in January-March 2016 - an average of 569 manat, specialized construction - by 46.4 percent - up to 1729 manat compared to the same period of 2015.
