In August 2017, insurance companies of Azerbaijan issued 9,326 policies on compulsory real estate insurance, and the premiums on this type of insurance amounted to 2.08 million manats ($1=1.7009 manats as of Sept. 8), Azerbaijan’s Compulsory Insurance Bureau said.
The number of contracts on this type of insurance decreased by 47 percent, and the volume of premiums decreased by 2 percent in August 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
The message said that 7,360 policies accounted for housing and apartment insurance, 29 policies accounted for insurance of administrative buildings, and 1,937 policies accounted for insurance of other facilities.
There are 21 insurance companies in Azerbaijan.
