Kazakhstan will have access to the data of the Resurs-P and Kanopus-V natural resource satellites, as well as the Meteor-M, Electro-L and Arktika-M hydrometeorological satellites, Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities (Russian space agency) told Trend.
According to the agency, the corresponding memorandum was signed on February 10, 2022 by Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan Bagdat Musin.
The memorandum of understanding concerns cooperation on the space-based data exchange for remote sensing of the Earth.
The state corporation noted that this document will form a legal framework for data exchange cooperation from Russian and Kazakh Earth observation satellites for peaceful purposes on a parity basis.
"The Russian orbital constellation for remote sensing of the Earth includes the natural resource satellites Resurs-P and Kanopus-V, as well as hydrometeorological satellites Meteor-M, Elektro-L and Arktika-M," the state corporation noted.
