BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. The Memorandum of Understanding signed on May 7 in Baku between the Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) and the Export-Import Bank of Slovakia (Eximbanka SR) provides for the import of Slovak equipment for Azerbaijani projects, and these operations will be financed by Eximbanka of Slovakia, AIC executive director Ulvi Mansurov told Trend.
“There is already one project in development in which Azerbaijan plans to use Slovak equipment, the payment of which will be covered by Eximbanka of Slovakia. The list of such projects with the application of this cooperation scheme will be compiled taking into account whether this or that Slovak equipment is suitable for this or that project of Azerbaijan,” Mansurov said.
According to him, terms of financing from Eximbanka of Slovakia depend on the selected projects and will be discussed when this or that project reaches the degree of “finalization”.
To note, within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Slovak Business Forum, AIC Executive Director Ulvi Mansurov and General Director of Eximbanka of Slovakia Rastislav Podhorec signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Slovakia Denisa Saková.
