FUZULI, Azerbaijan, January 16. Azerbaijan’s Azerishig OJSC held talks with China's Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited company to explore potential collaboration and innovations, Trend reports.

The aim of the meeting was to inform the leadership of Azerishig OJSC about the innovative technologies, products, and international projects presented by DongFang Electronics in Yantai, China, on December 5, 2024.

Dongfang Electronics Co., Ltd, with extensive experience in smart grid systems, has successfully implemented projects in numerous countries. The company specializes in manufacturing solar panels, energy storage systems, and SCADA-based management solutions. The integration of these systems leads to significant energy consumption savings. Examples of the company’s successful projects include energy storage in Ukraine and solar panel installations with a total capacity of 22 MW in Shandong province. The company also demonstrated smart meters equipped with advanced communication protocols (RS, GPRS, PLC), which offer gas, water, and electricity metering functions.

As part of their ongoing collaboration, the leadership of Dongfang Electronics Co., Ltd. visited Baku. From January 13 through 19, a delegation consisting of Deputy General Director Shudong Cao, Central Asia Branch Director Wei Liu, Senior Advisor Dmitry Zharovsky, and other officials met with Azerishig OJSC leadership. The purpose of the visit was to exchange innovations and expertise between the two companies.

Following the meetings in Azerbaijan’s Baku on January 16, the delegation visited Fuzuli and Hadrut to review the reconstruction and restoration works carried out by Azerishig OJSC in the country’s liberated territories. Detailed information was provided about the rapid reconstruction efforts. During the visit, both sides shared experiences in developing electrical infrastructure according to modern standards.

Notably, the visit will conclude on January 17 in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city.
