Some 65 new projects worth 26.9 billion tenge were approved by second tier banks of Kazakhstan within the framework of “economy of simple things” program, Trend reports with reference to Kazinform news agency.
“Furthermore, 127 projects worth 252.2 billion tenge are currently being looked into,” the report said.
“Economy of simple things” is a preferential loans program aimed at import substitution.
A Decision of the Government of Kazakhstan was adopted in 2018 for the development of the program, which established a mechanism of prioritized projects lending. Nine second tier banks of the country are participating in the program.
Currently, a number of Roadmaps on development of furniture, light and construction supplies industries has been approved, as the majority of imported goods accounts for these industries.
