The average monthly nominal salary in Azerbaijan reached 704.5 manat ($414.4) from January through October 2020, which is followed by increasing salaries and accelerating the development of the private sector, Trend reports citing the report of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
The overall average monthly nominal salary in the first ten months of 2020 was 14.7 percent higher compared to the same period of 2019.
Thanks to higher salaries and accelerated development of the private sector in November 2020, the average monthly nominal salaries in the country reached 706.6 manat ($415.6 manat).
At the same time, following comprehensive social reforms carried out on the basis of relevant decrees of the Azerbaijani president, starting from September 1, the minimum salary in the country was increased to 250 manat ($147), which significantly increased the salaries of civil servants, employees of a number of budgetary institutions, enterprises, and organizations, and state oil companies.
