The Bank Maskan of Iran issued loans worth 16.4 trillion rials (about $392 million) for the repair and reconstruction of 22,100 apartments from March 21, 2019, to August 16, 2021, a member of the Presidium of Bank Maskan Iran Mohammad Hassan Alamdari said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
Alamdari noted that in this regard, 4,600 projects have been implemented.
According to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, those who met modern requirements for the repair of apartments received a loan of 2.5 billion rials (about $59.500) each over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021). At present, this figure amounted to 3 billion rials (about $71,400).
The Maskan Bank of Iran provides loans worth 500 million rials (about $11,900) for the repair of apartments in Tehran and other major cities of Iran, and 400 million rials (about $9,520) in other cities. This loan is issued at 9 percent.
While the other banks and financial institutions provide loans for housing repair and reconstruction at 18 percent.
