The number of registered cars in Kazakhstan amounted to 710,392 vehicles over the period from January through November 2021, which is 1.3 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
As of December 1, 2021, the total number of passenger cars registered in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.8 million.
The committee noted that 86.5 percent of registered cars work on gasoline. Some 11.4 percent of the cars operate on mixed fuel, 2 percent on diesel fuel, and 0.1 percent on LPG.
The number of registered car accidents amounted to 12,272 cases, which is 3.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020.
Some 17,896 people were injured in these accidents.
As of December 1, 2021, insurance companies made 74,482 payments worth 33.9 billion tenge (approximately $78.4 million) on Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Vehicle Owners.
