BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Azerbaijan's money supply in manat terms (M2) saw an increase of 1.28 billion manat ($750 million), marking a rise of 3.62 percent as of January 1, 2025, compared to the same date last year. It climbed from 35.37 billion manat ($20.8 billion) to 36.6 billion manat ($21.5 billion).
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that cash supply in circulation (M0) decreased by 15.4 million manat, or $9.06 million (0.1 percent) over the year, from 15.87 billion manat ($9.34 billion) to 15.85 billion manat ($9.32 billion), and expanded money supply (M3) increased by 1.4 billion manat, or $820,000 (3.07 percent), to 46.49 billion manat, or $27.35 billion (against 45.07 billion manat or $26.5 billion a year earlier).
The money supply for transactions (M1) decreased by 31.4 million manat, or $18.47 million (3.38 percent), from 29.67 billion manat ($17.45 billion) to 29.64 billion manat ($17.44 billion) over the year.
