ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 21. Kazakhstan is interested in participating in the TRIPP (The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) project, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told the media following talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Trend reports.
According to him, the new geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus creates favorable conditions for the development of bilateral and interregional contacts.
“We also confirm our interest in participating in the TRIPP International Route of Peace and Prosperity project. The connection of these strategic corridors with the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the North-South Corridor is in the interests of both countries,” the head of state said.
On August 8, in Washington, with the participation of the US President, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, a joint declaration was signed. One of the points of the document provides for the launch of the Zangezur corridor (the so-called “Trump Route” or TRIPP) to unblock regional communications. In addition, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed an agreement on peace and interstate relations.
