Iran to commission pipeline for transportation of oil products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. The pipeline for the transportation of oil products from the Bandar Abbas region of Hormozgan province, located in the south of Iran, to the Rafsanjan region of Kerman province will be put into operation soon, the statement of Iran's National Oil Engineering and Construction Company said, Trend reports.

The Bandar-Abbas-Sirjan-Rafsanjan pipeline is 455 km long with a length of 26 inches and can transport 300,000 barrels of oil products per day from oil products extracted from the Persian Gulf Star Oil Company.

With the commissioning of this pipeline, the daily throughput capacity of pipelines transporting petroleum products in Iran will increase by 48 million liters. Thus, 96 million liters of petroleum products can be transported daily from the Bandar Abbas region to the central and northern regions of Iran.

To note, Iran's Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company transports crude oil and oil products to refineries and consumption points in the country through pipelines over 14,000 kilometers long.
