BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. According to the data from Iran's Chamber of Accounts, the state budget deficit for the first five months of the current Iranian year was 45 trillion rials, which is approximately $109 million, Trend reports
Approximately 6.75 quadrillion rials, or around $16.4 billion, were received by the Iranian state budget during the course of four months, as stated in the report.
Furthermore, the report indicates that Iran's state budget expenditures for four months amounted to 6.79 quadrillion rials (about $16.5 billion).
The report notes that funds in the executive agency payment support account total 1.73 quadrillion rials (about $4.2 billion).
Of this, 638 trillion rials (about $1.55 billion) come from capital loans, 278 trillion rials (about $675 million) from consumer loans, 686 trillion rials (about $1.66 billion) from other reserves, and 136 trillion rials (about $330 million) make up the total budget of universities.
To note, Iran's state budget for the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025) is about 64.6 quadrillion rials (about $157 billion).
