Damascus has lashed out at the EU over its decision to buy oil from rebels, in a letter to the UN Security Council, Syria's state-run news agency reported Tuesday, reported dpa.
"The European Union's illegal decision, which amounts to an act of aggression... constitutes complicity in stealing the Syrian people's wealth," the Foreign Ministry wrote, according to SANA.
The ministry said Syria would take unspecified measures to preserve its sovereignty and resources from what it called "attempts of piracy and looting."
