The chairman of the board of directors of the Turkish Airlines, Hamdi Topcu, resigned, the Hurriyet newspaper reported April 6.
The reasons for his resignation are yet to be disclosed.
Topcu headed the board of directors of Turkish Airlines from January 1, 2010.
Turkish Airlines was founded in 1933. It carries out regular flights to 220 foreign and 42 domestic airports.
The Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul is the main hub for the airline's flights, the Esenboga International Airport being the secondary hub.
