BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. Azerbaijan's draft state budget for 2026 allocates 2 billion manat ($1.18 billion) specifically for healthcare expenditures, marking an 11 percent increase compared to the execution figures for 2024, the country's Finance Minister, Sahil Babayev, said during today’s plenary session of the parliament, Trend reports.
Speaking at a discussion on the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026,” Babayev noted that these funds represent 4.9 percent of total state budget expenditures
The minister added that, in total, 3.7 billion manat ($2.18 billion) from the consolidated budget will be directed to healthcare next year, an increase of 227 million manat ($133.5 million), or 6.4 percent, compared to 2025.
