Azerbaijan, Albania discuss expanding tourism cooperation (PHOTO)

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. Azerbaijan and Albania have discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the tourism sector, including increasing mutual tourist flows and promoting the countries’ tourism potential.

According to the Albanian Embassy in Azerbaijan, the discussions were held during a meeting between Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to Azerbaijan Besart Kadia.

The sides exchanged views on developing tourism ties, sharing experience, increasing mutual visits and enhancing the promotion of tourism opportunities in both countries.

It was noted that Azerbaijan and Albania have significant potential for closer cooperation in tourism. The meeting highlighted opportunities for establishing new ties among government institutions, tourism industry representatives and the peoples of both countries.

The Albanian Embassy in Baku noted that it will continue supporting the development of institutional relations and joint initiatives in the tourism sector between the two countries.

The sides emphasized that tourism serves as an important tool for promoting greater understanding of each other’s history, culture, heritage and national values.
