BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) will introduce Azerbaijani investors to financing options provided by BSTDB during the BSTDB-Azerbaijan business forum, Hasan Demirhan, Vice President Banking at BSTD told Trend in an interview.
The forum is set to take place in Baku on June 24.
"We hope that those financing options will turn into actual projects in the future. The forum will also provide a venue for investors in Azerbaijan to learn BSTDB’s financing instruments. We expect that following the event, investors in Azerbaijan, be it local or foreign, will be better informed about BSTDB’s products," he said.
According to Demirhan, it is also expected to conclude the forum with signing of new agreements with two Azerbaijani partner banks.
"The Forum will highlight economic achievements of Azerbaijan toward a diversified, innovative and inclusive economy. The event also intends to promote investment opportunities in the country amid the changing regional and local environment," he said.
As the vice president explained, in the first part of the forum, participants will have a chance to learn about Azerbaijan’s experience in diversification. In the second part, the investors will be introduced to BSTDB’s financial instrument.
"The Forum, which is organized in close cooperation with the Azerbaijani Government and AZPROMO, the national export and investment promotion agency, will gather entrepreneurs from the countries of the Black Sea Region who will discuss business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan. So, I believe that it is highly valuable to learn about Azerbaijan’s experience in diversification," Demirhan said.
