ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 2. QazTrade and Qatar Airways discussed the prospects for developing air cargo and creating effective logistics channels to deliver Kazakh goods to the Qatari market and other countries in the Middle East, Trend reports.
A business mission of Kazakhstani exporters was held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, organized by "QazTrade" in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Qatar.
As part of the event, B2B meetings were held, with 30 companies from Kazakhstan and Qatar participating, representing key sectors of the economy such as agriculture, agribusiness, industry, and IT technologies.
One of the key events of the mission was the meeting between the First Deputy General Director of "QazTrade" Nurlan Kulbatyrov and representatives of Qatar Airways.
During the meeting, Nurlan Kulbatyrov emphasized the importance of optimizing tariffs and improving the quality of transportation, which could significantly expand the range of exported goods and increase the geography of deliveries.
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Qatar this year amounted to $6.2 million, demonstrating the dynamic development of bilateral trade relations. One of the notable achievements was the significant increase in lamb exports from Kazakhstan to Qatar, which rose by 75 percent.
Qatar Airways, being the national airline of Qatar with its
headquarters in Doha, operates flights to over 160 destinations,
all of which are international. Qatar Airways is one of seven
airlines that hold the highest five-star rating, according to the
British agency Skytrax.
