BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 8. Azerbaijan's earnings from the total export of persimmons during the first 11 months of last year hit the jackpot at $86.5 million, while the export volume tipped the scales at 120,300 tons.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that this marks a decrease of $4.9 million (5.4 percent) and 4,400 tons (3.5 percent) compared to the same period of 2023.
During the specified timeframe, the exportation of persimmons constituted 0.36 percent of Azerbaijan's aggregate export volume and represented 2.8 percent of the non-oil export sector.
To put things in perspective, Azerbaijan shipped out 124,700 tons of persimmons, raking in a cool $91.4 million during the same stretch of 2023.
