ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 7. A sugar factory with a production capacity of 144,000 tons per year will be built in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
Goldbridge International Company LLP is implementing this large-scale project to construct the sugar factory with an annual capacity of 144,000 tons of sugar.The project aims to meet the country’s domestic sugar demand.
Approximately 900,000 tons of sugar beet or cane raw materials will be required to produce this volume of sugar. The investor has already held negotiations with a local Atyrau company that is ready to grow sugar beets.
The project’s total cost is estimated at 58 billion tenge ($116 million), and it is expected to create 200 jobs.
