BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. Transactions processed through Azerbaijan's Interbank Card Center (ICC) amounted to a total of 3 billion manat ($1.7 billion), with 69,899 transactions conducted in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this represents a significant increase of 27,376 compared to January 2024, marking a rise of 64.4 percent, while the total value surged by 1 billion manat ($588.2), a 51 percent increase.
Additionally, the ICC also processed transactions totaling $7 million in January 2025, with 28,600 transactions. This shows a nearly 45.9 percent increase in transaction volume and a 48.9 percent rise in monetary value compared to the same period last year.
Furthermore, over 16,500 transactions were conducted, totaling 2 million euros, an increase of 32 percent in volume and 33.3 percent in monetary value compared to last year.
