ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 14. The Air Astana Group of Companies has shown significant financial success in 2024, increasing its total revenue by 12.4 percent, Trend reports.
The total amount of income and other revenues, excluding
one-time items, amounted to $1.3 billion, which is $144 million
more than in 2023 ($1.1 billion).
According to the company's announcement, this growth was the result
of the successful implementation of a strategy aimed at managing
capacity and increasing passenger traffic, which reached 9 million
people in 2024, an increase of almost 1 million compared to the
previous year. Active cost management and operational optimization
allowed the company not only to increase the number of passengers
carried but also to maintain high efficiency.
“We are confidently continuing to show growth and have reached a
revenue record despite the challenges facing the entire industry.
Our efforts in managing operations and optimizing costs have played
a key role in this success,” said Peter Foster, CEO of the Air
Astana Group.
The company also proposed to pay shareholders a dividend of 53.7
tenge ($0.107) per share and 214.8 tenge ($0.430) per global
depositary receipt, highlighting its financial stability and
confidence in the future.
The revenue growth and positive results provide grounds for
optimism ahead of the new financial year. Air Astana continues to
increase the capacity of both its brands, opening new opportunities
for further expansion and strengthening its market position.
Air Astana is the national airline of Kazakhstan, founded in 2001.
It is one of the largest airlines in Central Asia and offers a wide
range of services to passengers.
