BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. Azerbaijan produced 13,400 tons of construction gypsum from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the production of construction gypsum in this period has grown by 2,200 tons, or 19.6 percent, compared to 11,200 tons produced in the same period of 2023.
However, the total amount of gypsum products produced during this period was 14,000 tons, showing a 12 percent decrease, or 1,900 tons less, compared to last year. In total, 15,900 tons of gypsum products were produced in Azerbaijan in the first two months of 2024.
Moreover, the available stock of finished construction gypsum in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,800 tons as of March 1, 2025, with 6,100 tons of finished gypsum products in reserve.
In the same period, Azerbaijan also produced 187.6 million manat ($110.3 million) worth of construction materials, which represents a 7.9 percent increase compared to 173.9 million manat ($102.2 million) worth of materials produced in the first two months of 2023.
