BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. The share of transport infrastructure in the reconstruction and restoration project of Azerbaijan's liberated territories was high last year, the opinion of the Chamber of Accounts on the draft law "On the implementation of the state budget for 2024" said, Trend reports.
During the specified reporting interval, a substantial 74.4
percent of the allocated financial resources disbursed for the
reconstruction and restoration initiatives within the liberated
territories—an increase to 76.6 percent in the year 2023—was
strategically earmarked for the enhancement of transport
infrastructure.
In summary, based on the data regarding the execution of the state
budget, financial allocations have been designated for 170
initiatives aimed at the rehabilitation and revitalization of the
reclaimed regions in 2024. Financial disbursements were not
executed for 18 of the initiatives delineated in the fiscal
allocations for 2024, encompassing 16 undertakings that remained
unfunded. Furthermore, despite the earmarking of 1.5 million manat
($880,000) for two specific projects, the anticipated capital
infusion was not realized.
