ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 23. Trade between the Astrakhan region and Turkmenistan continues to grow, with last year’s turnover rising by 15 percent and deliveries this year already including 18 tons of fish products and wheat flour, Trend reports.
These statistics were highlighted during a meeting dedicated to cooperation with Turkmenistan, held as part of the Tenth Caspian Media Forum.
Governor Igor Babushkin noted the long-standing and evolving nature of the region’s interaction with Turkmenistan and emphasized Astrakhan’s readiness to further strengthen partnerships. Rustam Mammedov, Editor-in-Chief of the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, expressed gratitude to the Russian side for its support and hospitality.
