The value of exports from the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province (southwestern Iran) amounted to $1.07 million over the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), said Behnam Ahmadi Director-General of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province Customs Office, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
According to him, this is an increase of 89 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
Ahmadi added that 621,000 tons of goods were exported from Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province during the reporting period. The exports increased by 28 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The director-general stressed the exported goods were mainly saffron, sneakers, licorice, clothing, and cosmetics.
“The goods were mainly exported to Iraq, Germany, Switzerland, France, South Africa, and Afghanistan,” he said.
A total of 537,000 tons of goods worth $955,000 were exported from Iran's Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020).
